RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Mexican Chancellor Marcelo Ebrard has confirmed the information on his Twitter account.
The Bolivian leader resigned on Sunday, November 10th, after a 21-day wave of protests.
"We will enforce the right to asylum that Mexico has consistently upheld and exercised in the different historical circumstances that characterize our foreign policy," said a statement issued by the Mexican government.
