Restrictions on the use of cameras by tourists visiting Nicaragua

The General Directorate of Customs Services (DGA) of the Nicaraguan regime has imposed restrictions on the entry of photographic and video cameras, for which tourists must have an "endorsement" from the National Cinematheque.

This permit must be presented to the customs authorities, in charge of registering "the entry of this type of merchandise under the temporary import regime with re-export in the same state of the customs system".

Only one photographic apparatus and one long-range lens may be introduced. In case of being more, taxes must be paid.
