Bolivia’s Constitutional Court eliminates the crime of sedition

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Constitutional Tribunal of Bolivia informed on March 17 that the crime of sedition "is expelled from the Bolivian legal system". As of the ruling, no one can be prosecuted under this typification.

The president of the Plurinational Constitutional Tribunal, Paul Franco, expressed to the media that this decision emerges from an abstract unconstitutionality action filed by former official parliamentarians of the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS).
