UAE and Brazil drive aerospace innovation with strategic engine development alliance

Recently, the UAE’s state-owned EDGE Group unveiled a strategic alliance with the Brazilian Navy, committing to co-investment in creating advanced long-range anti-ship missiles, enriched with cutting-edge anti-jamming technology.

Expanding their Brazilian collaborations, EDGE Group has now also forged a strategic partnership with Turbomachine, a front-runner in the aerospace domain, renowned for their expertise in gas turbine engines and pioneering plasma-assisted combustion solutions.

This collaboration between EDGE and Turbomachine will focus on developing advanced engines, including intricate turbofan and hybrid fan propulsor engines, designed primarily for EDGE’s portfolio of unmanned aerial vehicles, missiles, and autonomous systems.

The signing ceremony took place at Turbomachine’s headquarters with notable attendees, including Hamad Al Marar from EDGE’s Missile and Weapons cluster and Turbomachine’s senior executives, including its CEO, Alberto Carlos Pereira Filho.

Vice Admiral Marco Antonio Ismael Trovão de Oliveira from Brazil’s Navy endorsed the partnership, emphasizing its importance in strengthening international relations and pushing the boundaries of aerospace innovation.

The partnership aims to enhance the technical capabilities of both companies, striving for advancements in the aerospace and defense sectors.

This mutual effort will develop advanced engine solutions that elevate the performance and power of EDGE’s missile and unmanned aerial vehicle offerings.
