Alckmin announces first names of government transition team in Brazil with Tebet and Persio Arida

The vice-president-elect Geraldo Alckmin announced this Tuesday, Nov. 8, the first names of the government transition team of president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT, left).

Alckmin was appointed general coordinator of the team last week.

Economists André Lara Resende and Pérsio Arida, who formulated the Real Plan, have been confirmed as members of the technical group dealing with the economy.

Besides them, economists Guilherme Melo, who helped formulate da Silva's government program, and Nelson Barbosa, former Finance Minister, will also be part of the team.
