Brazil: congressman registers a request to create a Parliamentary Front Against the Early Sexualization of Children
A request to create a Parliamentary Front Against the Early Sexualization of Children and Adolescents was filed in the House of Representatives on Tuesday (14).
The initiative is from federal congressman Messias Donato (Republicanos-ES).
The congressman is now seeking the support of the parliamentarians for the Front to be installed.

Donato had obtained 21 signatures by 8:30 pm this Tuesday. The minimum number of signatures required is 198.
The Parliamentary Front Against the Early Sexualization of Children and Adolescents aims to “sensitize and mobilize parliamentarians and the House of Representatives to discuss and monitor public policies for the protection of physical, psychological, and moral integrity for the healthy and harmonious development of children and adolescents, fighting, at the national level, any act that promotes early sexualization and affects the gender formation of children and adolescents.”
In pointing out that early sexualization is “harmful to the full development of children,” Donato said that the stimuli for this to occur can take place “in a veiled and/or cunning way in the social media, in political-ideological actions [disguised] as socioeducational inserted in the social environment and even within the family, violating the right to respect, to the development of the human person, in particular, his sexuality.”
