Brazil achieved better inflation figures than the OECD average for the first time this year
Average inflation in OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) countries fell to 10.2% in the 12 months ending in July.

The drop in inflation was the first since November 2020, and despite the decline, the list of countries with double-digit inflation rose from 13 to 15, according to the OECD.

The overall index fell in 26 of 38 countries.
However, food inflation continued to rise, reaching 14.5% in the 12 months through July. In the year to June 2022, it was 13.3%.
Inflation is highest in Turkey, reaching 79.6% from 12 months to July.
It is lowest in Japan, at 2.6% in the same period.
