Argentina leads the ranking of flights to Brazil in the first months of 2022
With the resumption of tourism throughout 2022, considerable growth in air frequencies to Brazil has been observed.
With increases registered month after month since the beginning of the year, air connectivity between Brazil and the rest of the world is at 70% of the level it was at around 2019, the year before the pandemic.
Argentina, the United States, and Portugal dominate the ranking of countries with the most flights to Brazil in the first seven months of 2022.
Argentina sent 4,250 flights to Brazil from January to July, leading air connectivity indicators.

“Argentina is usually the country that sends the most tourists to Brazil, with more than 40% of the total through 2019,” highlighted Embratur, the Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion.
The second place was occupied by the United States, with 3,972 flights in the first months of the year, and was followed by Portugal, with 2661, according to official figures. “The trend is growing: in July 2022 alone, 700 flights from Argentina to Brazil were accounted for.”
According to a survey by the Booking.com platform, the nationalities that made the most reservations for Brazilian destinations in the first seven months of the year were Argentina, the United States, France, Uruguay, and Germany, in that order.
The top five Brazilian destinations most booked by foreign tourists on the platform during July 2022 were the following: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Foz do Iguaçu, Salvador, and Fortaleza.
Called “Travel Forecast for 2022,” the Booking.com survey was conducted among people who plan to travel for leisure or business in the next 12 to 24 months. In total, 24,055 people in 31 countries were consulted.

The president of Embratur, Silvio Nascimento, said: “We have worked hard to strengthen the promotion of Brazilian destinations abroad and as part of this strategy we are operating strongly in key markets, such as Argentina and the United States”.
In the first half of the year alone, Embratur promoted three promotional campaigns aimed at its priority markets. The advertising piece in South America was “One, two, three, Brazil!” and broadcast in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
At the same time, in the United States, the campaigns “Brazil is visa-free, come visit us” and “Visit Brazil: A WOW EXPERIENCE” were aired between May and June 2022.
