When will the cold weather in São Paulo go away? The largest cold front of the year passes through the city

The city of São Paulo was hit in the last few days by the biggest cold air mass of the year – so far – which brought temperatures down to close to 10ºC.

Despite the drop, it was still far from the historical record for April 4.4ºC, registered in 1952.

As the days go by, starting this Sunday, the 23, the weather in the São Paulo capital will return to having warmer moments, but still with cooler days at the beginning of the day.

According to the meteorological services, from now on, there is no prediction of intense heat, as typical of summer.

The expectation is a typical autumn atmosphere, with cooler mornings and higher temperature peaks around noon.

The coldest morning next week will be Monday, the 24th, with a low of 15ºC. The highs will be around 27ºC already from Tuesday, the 25.

According to Climatempo, no rain is forecast for the next few days.

Meteorologists point out that this cold air mass has the potential to act as a turning point in the season.

Fall began in the Southern Hemisphere on March 20 and ended on June 21. Because it is a transitional season, it is common to have warmer and colder days.

Temperatures are expected to drop as winter approaches.
