Uber Flash Becomes Available Throughout Brazil
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – To help its users, mainly during the coronavirus pandemic, Uber launched the Uber Flash service last April, but its operation was limited to a few cities: Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Salvador, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. On Friday, February 6th, Uber disclosed that all cities in Brazil can now use the service.

This service has been highly successful among users since its launch and, according to a survey conducted by the company itself, people have used it mostly to send food, documents, flowers, clothes, keys and other small objects. In December last year Uber launched the website “Amigo Uber Secreto” (Secret Uber Friend) for people to send gifts to their friends and family during Christmas and festive dates.
Using Uber Flash is very simple and a new app is not even needed, which means a new account is not required.
How to access it:
1. Access Google Play or App Store and download or update the Uber app to the latest version available. If you use your computer, you can download Uber Flash through this link;
2. Open the App as usual and search for the address the item will be sent to;
3. Scroll down the “Uber categories” menu and select the “Uber Flash” option;
4. Confirm the payment method and order delivery according to the instructions.
Although it is a very useful alternative to send items safely, it is worth noting that sending valuables through Uber Flash is not allowed or that such transport is prohibited by law. To prevent complications, when ordering, the Uber App itself displays the service’s restrictions.
