Thursday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – After two successful editions, Studio RJ opens their doors again to Rio’s very own hip hop collective Eletrobase and MCs Familia Luk. After having celebrated their one year anniversary, Studio RJ is keeping the momentum going with live shows such as this from week to week.
Eletrobase is Rio’s premier underground hip hop collective. Going strong since 1999, Eletrobase consist of DJs Saci, Lulinha, and Dadu. Crushing dance-floors with their unique DJ performances, the crew performs using four turntables and MPC’s, creating live remixes and demonstrating their turntable skills. The group derives their musical inspiration from blues, jazz, rock, samba, reggae, funk and more.
Eletrobase also produce Canal Eletrobase, a streaming hip hop program with live turntablism, DJ sets, MC performances and interviews.

Festival Música Pra Todo Mundo (Lapa)
This Festival began in March of this year, where four artists were selected, Nevilton and Pedro Morais (whom were chosen by the public) and Barbara Eugenia and Wado (whom were chosen by the festival curators. They will be lucky enough to perform on stage with Molotov Jukebox from the UK, Creole and Luisa Maita.

Eletrobase & Familia Suk (Arpoador)
Local hip hop collective Eletrobase heats things up at Studio RJ along with Familia Suk as they return for their third edition of live MC’s and turntablist magic. Come get a true sense of hip hop by one of Rio’s premier crews at a stunning venue with a beachfront view.

Veneno (Botafogo)
For seven years Veneno anticipates the start of your weekend in the best possible way: lots of good music and beautiful people gathered at Casa da Matriz. The first track is the responsibility of the resident DJs Tulio and Newton, who drops pop and rock for all ages.
