Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Clubbing returns to Lapa on Saturday night with a special “Ladies Night” edition. The night will feature a lineup of great interest, featuring four lady DJs from Brazil and Argentina. The night will get started downstairs with the Botafogo Social Club funkin it up with breaks, jazz, rare groove, hip-hop and funk n’ soul.
Upstairs the heat will be turned up with an all star cast of female DJs playing house, tech house and techno, featuring resident Vivi Seixas, Jamie Blonde from Belo Horizonte, Ingrid from D-Edge agency in São Paulo, and Argentinian DJ Antonella Giampietro.
Clubbing has transformed the Lapa nightlife, bringing a fresh new sound and vibe to the samba dominated neighborhood. Showcasing not only top DJ acts from around the globe, but also incredible decor, performances, video mapping and live 360 degree video recording throughout the night.

Adriana Calcanhotto em “O Micróbio do Samba” (Lapa)
Circo Voador presents two lovely voices of musica Brasilera: Adriana Calcanhotto and Thais Gulin, performing for the first time on stage in Lapa. Thais Gulin opens the night with a show from her second album. She is followed by Adriana Calcanhotto, performing works from her new album O Micróbio do Samba.

MPB Braços Abertos (Lapa)
MPB will be making a stand at Fundição Progresso tonight, featuring some of the biggest names in the genre. The night will showcase Lenine, Gadú and Ana Carolina.

Clubbing returns to Leviano with an all female DJ roster upstairs. Resident Vivi Seixas welcomes Belo Horizonte bombshell Jaime Blonde, D-Edge resident Ingrid and Argentinian import Antonella Giampietro. Opening up downstairs will be local funk n’ soul crew Botafogo Social Club.

Rockaway couldn’t explain this party better. The best of all things rock for all ages and standards will be played tonight. One the bottom floor residents Polly, Grazzia and Ivy play the classic hits from the sixties and seventies up to the indie rock from 2000 and up. Expect psychedelic, punk, new wave grunge, metal and pop rock.
