Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Clubbing returns to Lapa with their 4th edition. Bringing a new sense of music and style to Lapa, Clubbing is growing with exponential possibilities. Bringing the best local and international DJ talent from the electronic scene, its no wonder this party has taken off flying. This time expect to hear Irish DJ and producer Aki Bergen, plus local favorite DJ Nepal and more.

Blitz was born on stage at Circo Voador and made themselves known with their memorable presentations. Blitz returns to Circo Voador to celebrate their 30 years together! Opening the show will be singer Dona Joana.

O Rappa (Lapa)
The legendary group O Rappa returns for a second night of fun at Fundicao Progresso with the package sounds of dub, reggae, rock riffs and rap, preaching critical messages that address situations in Brazil from their own perspective. Members of Rappa have fought the fight against social inequality, acting on several fronts, either in funding projects that encourage the inclusion of the young sidelined society or in recruiting players from underserved communities to join in their movement.

Clubbing (Lapa)
Clubbing is back for their 4th edition at Leviano in Lapa. One of the few electronic nights in Lapa, Clubbing has taken the neighborhood by storm. This edition will feature Irish DJ and producer Aki Bergen, who’s well known for his collaborations with respected producers Ralphi Rosario, Miguel Migs, Dannii Minogue, Milton Jackson, Pezzner and more. He is joined on the stage by local heavy hitter DJ Nepal. As always residents Mike Frugaletti and Vivi Seixas will provide support along with U.K. rock star and lead singer Mary Byker, owner of the popular Thai restaurant Mekong.

The evening begins with happy hour and full rhythm lounge. As the night progresses, DJs Cobra & José Roberto Mahr, and VJ Isa present new releases and classic remixes of indie rock, pop, new disco, club house and all the variations in between.

Let rock n roll be your guide tonight with the best of your favorite rock hits at one of Rio’s favorite venues, Casa da Matriz. The main floor will feature DJs Polly, Ivy and Grazzia, while support in the other room from DJs Arlei Hey Hey and Thiago Burgos.
