Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – New York invades Rio in a big way at Dirtyblackdisco. New York based DJ and producer Brennan Green will be commanding the floor in Lapa alongside some of Rio and Sao Paulo’s top DJs. This unique party will bring the best of art and music in true style. Bands Silvinho Blau Blau, Perdidos na Selva join Banda Ploc 80’s bring you a night of pure musical bliss as they all pay homage to the 80’s. Playing all the hits that are well known as well as some that are not, this festa is known to be serious good time. Cariocas love their 80’s music, and tonight should prove to you why.

Monobloco e Bloco do Sargento Pimenta (Lapa)
Super band Monobloco joins powerful forces with Bloco do Sargento Pimenta in a night of epic beats and classic treats! Monobloco, the big percussion band created in 2000 by Pedro Luís consists of many members, who drop heavy percussive beats to some of Brazil’s favorite tunes. Bloco do Sargento Pimento recreates the best of the Beatles in a samba, percussive style format, and was a huge hit at recent Carnavals. These two powerhouse bands will surely rock the floor tonight at Fundição Progresso.

Dirtyblackdisco (Lapa)
Dirtyblackdisco returns for the second edition in at Sacadura in Lapa. New Yorker Brian Thomas (aka Butter) brings his east coast style to Rio with a night of solid music from local and international fame. Another east coast player, Brennan Green graces the decks with house, disco, electro and dub -funk. Also Moo star Diogo Reis and Badenov show support alongside O Ritmos Digitais. Should be a banger, so plan on seeing the sun come up.

Who loves pop? Find out at Studio RJ and Gema TV and Jose Camarano bring the best of pop to you in full swing.
