Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Botafogo Social Club is back at Alto Vidigal for their four year anniversary party. The last attempt was cancelled on account of rain, so tonight will be a special make up party featuring four of the five original members.
Born on the beaches of Ipanema, The Botafogo Social Club consists of five gringo DJs, hailing from England and the United States. The gang found each other through similar musical interests and formed BSC, providing an array of events all over Rio with a unique musical sound. From hip hop to house, rare groove and funk, their eclectic nights have been supported by Elza Suares, the queen of Brazilian Soul and guest DJ and record fanatic Giles Peterson. The group returns to Alto Vidigal tonight.
