Tonight at Audio Rebel, Quintavant / QTV will present the third night of Macalândia, a serious of events where contemporary Brazilian artists deconstruct and reconstruct the works of Jards Macalé. Tonight Ava Rocha, Negro Leo, Pedro Dantas, and Thomas Harres will perform their reinterpretiations of Macalé’s 1977 album Contrastes.

The Veneno party is back at Casa da Matriz tonight. For over ten years the weekly events, filled with good music and beautiful people, have helped start weekends early in Rio. Tonight will be no exception as DJs Tulio Araujo and Beto Artista will spin the best of rock and pop on the first floor and the Multiplex party will take over the second floor during the night. The Crazy Salsa in Rio party returns to the the Mariuzinn club in Copacabana tonight with DJ Guga Fernandes spinning the best of house and deep house, hip hop and funk throughout the night. Tonight La Paz in Centro will once again host the Yellow Submarine and |Benflogin parties. Tonight Nelson Felix will start the night at Carioca da Gema beginning at 8:30 PM and Toninho Geraes will follow at 10:30PM. Geraes has composed for artists including Martinho da Vila and Zeca Pagodinho and during his show tonight, he will sing their hits, as well as his own compositions. Additionally, he will reinterpret the works of Moacyr Luz, Paulinho da Viola, and Chico Buarque, among others.

Salsa and Forró Leviano (Lapa)
The Salsa and Forró party is back at Lapa’s Leviano bar tonight and that mean it’s time to dance. The group Mano a Mano will start things off at 8PM with salsa and merengue on the first floor and later Marcelo Mimoso will perform the best of Forró on the second floor. Additionally, Lucas de Moraes and the group Belisco will perform and DJ Angolano will spin salsa and DJ Léo Araripe will spin forró during the night.
