Tonight DJs Du’Jorge, Djogo and special guest Tomás Tróia will spin on two stages. The Yellow Submarine party will celebrate the works of Caetano Veloso and Cicero as well as play the best of The Doors, Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, Elis Regina, Tom Jobim and Céu among others and the |Benflogin party will celebrate Foals in aniticipation of their upcoming show in Rio on October 8th. DJs will also spin the best of Minus the Bear, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Nirvana, The Cure, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, The Verve, Bloc Party, and Black Keys, among others.
Admission to the party is free between 11PM and 12AM.

The Veneno party is back at Casa da Matriz tonight. For over ten years the weekly events, filled with good music and beautiful people, have helped start weekends early in Rio. Tonight will be no exception as DJs Tulio Araujo and Beto Artista will spin the best of rock and pop on the first floor and the Menias Veneno will return tonight to take over the second floor spinning the best of unsigned hits. Additionally during the night, promotions will include two-for-one specials on caipirinha, caipivodka, Cuba Libre, and Hi-fi until 1AM.

Shake U Party (Ipanema)
On Thursday nights the Praia Club is hosting the Shake u Party. DJs Jonathan K, E$$, and De Luca will spin the best of pop indie, house, funk, hip hop, trap, and Latin Rhythms during the night. The entrance fee will be free for women with their names on the list until 12AM and there will be an open bar for women until 12AM. Caipirinhas will be free for men until 12AM. Additional promotions will include two for one specials on beer and vodka plus energy drinks all night long.

Tonight the Cabaret Quinta event returns to the Cabaret Lounge in Botafogo. DJ Fernando Dias will spin the best of rock and pop and promotions will include two for one specials on Heineken and sparkling wine from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Crazy Salsa in Rio (Copacabana)
Tonight the Crazy Salsa in Rio party returns to the the Mariuzinn club in Copacabana. DJ Sabroson will spin the best of Latin Ryhthms including salsa, bachata, reggaeton, cumbia, merengue and Latin pop and DJ Guga Fernandes will spin the best of house and deep house, hip hop and funk during the night. Additionally, caipirinhas and Cuba Libres will be free until midnight, beer will be two for one all night and there will be free tequila for women.

Tonight La Paz in Centro will once again host the Yellow Submarine and |Benflogin parties. DJs Du’Jorge and Djogo will spin the best of Caetano and Cícero for the Yellow Submarine party and for the |Benflogin party, DJ Du’Jorge will spin the best of Foals and Minus the Bear during the night. Additionally, guest DJ Tomás Tróia will spin during the party.

Beginning at 7:30 PM, the group Samba do Miranda will start things off in Rio Scenarium with the best of samba. Joyce Cândido will follow at 10:30 PM with her show, “O bom e velho samba novo” (“Good old new samba”) which includes her reinterpretations of works by Luiz Carlos da Vila, Cláudio Jorge, Fred Camacho, Noel Rosa, Cartola, and Chico Buarque, among others.

Roda de Samba with Rixxa (Lapa)
For a great night of dancing and singing, head to Lapa’s Carioca da Gema. The venue will come alive at 7:30 PM as JP Silva performs live. Then at 9:30 PM it’s time for three hours of samba provided by vocalist Rixxa accompanied by brilliant percussionists and members and veteran musicians of the genre.

Salsa and Forró Leviano (Lapa)
The Salsa and Forró party is back at Lapa’s Leviano bar tonight and that mean it’s time to dance. The group Mano a Mano will start things off at 8PM with salsa and merengue on the first floor and later Marcelo Mimoso will perform the best of Forró on the second floor. Additionally, Lucas de Moraes and the group Belisco will perform and DJ Angolano will spin salsa and DJ Léo Araripe will spin forró during the night.
