Rio Nightlife Guide for Thursday, December 31, 2015
The biggest free outdoor party in the world and the second biggest holiday celebration after Carnvial, the city is excepting over two million people, mostly dressed in white, to gather together on the shoreline to watch this year’s fireworks display.
Entertainers during the event this year will include DJ Marcelo Garcia, Gabriel Moura, Diogo Nogueira, Jorge Ben Jor, Zeca Pagodinho, and the bateria (percussion section) and members of the Beija-Flor samba school, winners of the 2015 Carnival.

Réveillion (New Year’s Eve):
The Mansion Private New Year’s Eve (Santa Teresa)
The same mansion in Santa Teresa that hosted the trendy New York restaurant Fat Radish during the World Cup and the Private Halloween BlackHaus returns as the “Talk of the Town” with the launch of its New Year’s Eve Party. They will have a Premium Open Bar, plus French Chefs, Ludovic & Pierre, created a menu including hors d’oeuvres, risotto and other delicacies until sunrise. Music will on two stages with hip hop, deep house and the latest top hits. For the comfort and safety of all, a shuttle service will be running from Baixo Gavea direct to The Mansion, from 9:30 PM to 8AM.

Réveillon da Gávea 2016 (Gávea)
Tonight Sociedade Germania will host all-inclusive party, Réveillon da Gávea 2016. Mr. Catra, Zeh Pretim, Tropkillaz, Arca de Noé, Bahruth, and Bhering will perform and spin on the Pop Stage; the Love Sessions Crew, Leondre, Marcio Careca and Etto will spin and perform on the Eletrônica stage; and Tucho, Pachu, Dadu, and Farinha will spin and perform on the Black Stage. Drins will include Absolut Vodka, Red Bull, whisky, Gin Beefeater, Cachaça Chuva, Salton sparkling wine, Stella Artois beer, mixed drinks,fruit juices, and water. Food will include mini pepperoni muffins, brioche salmon, kafta and mint skewers, smoked chicken with plums and more.

Rio Reveillon 2016 (Lagoa)
The Jockey Club in Lagoa will host the 10th editon of their Rio Réveillon party tonight. Attractions will include DJs, the bateria (percussion section) of the Mangueira samba school, Sapucapeta, and the band Groove Box. The Espaço Exclusive will include Whsiky Chivas, Vodka Absolut, imported sparkling wine from 11:30PM to 1AM, Santa Dose, mixed drinks with vodka and fruits, Tnt energy drink, beers, fruit juices, and water. The Espaço Lagoa (Lagoa Space) and the Espaço Gávea (Gávea Space) will have Whisky Ballantines, Vodka Absolut, Vodka Skyy, sparkling wine from 11:30PM to 1AM, Santa Dose, mixed drinks with vodka, Tnt energy drinks, beers, sodas, fruit juices and water.

Palaphita Lagoa will host the Réveillon Palaphita Lagoa 2016 party tonight. Attractions will include Buchecha, Rodrigo Lampreia, and Bernardo Malta. Food will include grilled fruit, fish, and vegetables, sushi, sashimi, fondue, finger sandwiches, antipastos, cheeses, and more. Réveillon do Morro 2016 (Urca)
The 20th edition of Réveillon do Morro will take place on Morro da Urca, the neighboring mountain of Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf mountain). Entertainment will be provided by the band Soul de Quem Quiser and the bateria (percussion session) of the Unidos da Tijuca samba school. Additionally, DJs Janot and João Rodrigo will spin during show intervals. Service includes a buffet with food from the Cota 200 Restaurante and an open bar. Both the Copacabana fireworks and the Praia do Flamengo fireworks can be seen from this venue.

Reveillon Modinha 2016 (Humaitá)
Tonight in Humaitá, Casa de Espanha will host Reveillon Modinha 2016. The carnival bloco Empolga ás 9 and MC Marcinho will perform live. DJ Chu will spin and VJ Raton will provide visuals throughout the night. There will also be a mini spa, Videokê (video karaoke), and Super Wii during the event. The menu will include service from Volante with appetizers, hot dishes, snacks, desserts and breakfast foods. The bar will include Absolut Vodka, Ballantines Whisky, Budweiser beer, sparkling wine, sodas and water.

Réveillon Cidade Maravilhosa 2016 (Glória)
The Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (MAM) will host the Réveillon Cidade Maravilhosa 2016 party tonight in Glória. Atrractions will include Carrossel de Emoções, Primeiro Amor, and DJs Tartaruga, Gagau Dieckman, and Rodrigo loyola. Drinks will include sparkling wine, imported whisky, imported vodka, energy drinks, mixed drinks with vodka, beers, water, and sodas. Attendees of this party can view the fireworks shows from Niterói, Praia do Flamengo and Copacabana.

Tonight the Rooftop Hotel Caesar Park Ipanema will host a Réveillon edition of the Rendez vous party. DJs Gringo da Parada and Tchiky al Dente will spin during the event. Entry fee for the open bar is R$750 and entry for open bar plus food is R$1500.

The New Mariuzinn Copacabana will host the all-inclusive party Reveillon New Mariuzinn 2016 tonight. Mar Cesar will perform live on the first floor and DJ D’Luccio will spin on the second floor during the night.
