Monday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Pedra do Sal is considered to be one of the best rodas de samba anywhere in the city. The Monday night staple has been thriving for years, attracting a variety of percussionists, musicians, dancers, samba lovers and all-round party goers to the outdoor festa.
Situated at Largo João da Baiana in Centro, a huge, smooth rock dominates the area, becoming a makeshift dancefloor as the night wears on. Whether you are a samba veteran or just in town on a quick visit, there is always an amazing energy and fire lit up under peoples’ feet at this longtime Rio event that captures the true spirit of the city.

A two-floor boat turns night club with top DJs and breathtaking scenery. Happy hour with free drinks before midnight and amazing views as the boat travels around Guanabara Bay.
