São Paulo state hosts Latin America’s largest flower and ornamental plant exhibition

Through Sept. 25, Holambra is hosting Expoflora 2022, an excellent place for a family outing.

The event is the largest exhibition of flowers and ornamental plants in Latin America, living up to the city’s nickname, the City of Flowers.

In an area of 250 thousand square meters, visitors will discover the trends and novelties in the floral sector. Among the most anticipated attractions are the Flower Parade and the Flower Rain.

The first one will start at 4 pm and lead the audience to the big show at 4.30 pm. More than 300 thousand rose petals will fall from above, with the promise that the one who catches one of them before it touches the ground will have his wish granted.

Expoflora 2022, which costs R$80, has something new to offer.

This year, visitors will have access to the Magic Garden Holambra, whose main attraction is a field of 30,000 sunflowers – an additional ticket is required and costs R$40 (US$8).

To give shape and color to the floral decoration and guarantee different textures, 10,000 seedlings of succulents, begonias, petunias, and morays were used, to name a few.

All paths were designed to allow visitors to interact with the flowers.

The tour also includes city sightseeing. An opportunity to learn about the architecture and cuisine of Holambra, a former Dutch colony that still preserves the traditions and customs of the European country. It is a little piece of Amsterdam in Brazil.

The visit to the Holambra Magic Garden and the city tour will take place from 9 am to 5 pm all the days Expoflora 2022 is open: from Friday to Sunday, from 9 am to 7 pm, until Sept. 25.
