Avianca and Bolivian airline announce cooperation agreement

Colombian airline Avianca and Boliviana de Aviación (BOA) have announced an interline agreement allowing customers to fly direct connecting flights on both carriers beginning Sept. 1.

The alliance, the companies said in a statement, will allow travelers to fly to and from seven Bolivian cities on a single ticket, pay a single fare from the point of departure to the destination in a single transaction, and check their baggage to the destination.

They will also have access to Avianca’s 125 routes in 24 countries in Latin America and Europe.

“So far in 2022, we have carried more than 80,000 passengers to and from Bolivia, with a load factor of more than 76% on our flights. We know that Bolivia is a market that is in constant growth and development. Therefore, we are pleased to offer our customers several options for connections to this country, with all the possibilities that our network offers,” said Julio Ordóñez, Aviancas Director of Alliances.

The Bolivian airline said it is “strengthening its expansion intentions, making available to Bolivians more than 65 destinations offered by the Colombian airline.”
