Guatemalan authorities officially launched ‘Marca País’ (“Country Brand“), an initiative to promote Guatemala’s image in global markets.

The president of this Central American nation, Alejandro Giammatei, described Country Brand as “a distinction that represents a strategic national project, derived from a shared vision between the public and private sectors to promote Guatemala globally”.

“It is an effective way for the world to feel that this is the best destination to invest, visit and live. A destination to discover and learn about Guatemala’s three thousand years of cultural wealth, including the origins of one of the most important civilizations of humanity,” said Giammatei during the official launch ceremony held Wednesday, August 24, at the National Museum of Art of Guatemala (MUNAG), in La Antigua Guatemala.

The president of this Central American nation, Alejandro Giammatei, described Marca País as "a distinction that represents a strategic national project, derived from a shared vision between the public and private sectors to promote Guatemala at a global level".
