Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Nugrooves is back at Fosfobox for their second edition of their new Rio based event. The second edition is dedicated to carioca rhythms such as nufunk, nubreaks, and nujazz coupled with traditional funky house music. After the success of the first edition, the second time around should prove no different. The line-up this time around features American DJ and producer Brian Thomas aka Butter, resident DJ and producer of the hit party Dirtyblackdisco. Showing support is Rio’s favorite DJ Mauricio Lopes, along with residents Trotter and David Tabalipa and Joca-San, aka Joca Vidal.
In the Fosfobar upstairs, DJs LBF and Brant will be enforcing an all out attack on soul, electro, breaks and drum n bass. Get ready for a night of mixed beats on the floor, both upstairs and down!

Mostra Livre de Artes (Lapa)
In honor of their 30 year career of hosting the best and boldest events in Rio, Circo Voador presents Mostra Livre de Artes, a show/ exposition featuring artists, poets, films, bands and DJs. There is a complete program beginning with poetry followed by films both inside and outside and bands later on in the night. Full art expositions will be displayed as well.

Slash (Lapa)
Guns n’ Roses famed guitarist Slash is making a rare performance in Rio at Fundição Progresso. Slash is legendary in rock n roll, having released some of the best and most well known tracks around while with Guns n’ Roses. After parting he has risen to even more success with his band Velvet Revolver consisting of Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum, alongside Dave Kushner formerly of punk band Wasted Youth and Stone Temple Pilots vocalist Scott Weiland. Tonight Slash will be performing his new project Apocalyptic Love.
