Florida’s Gay Pride Parade was canceled due to a law that doesn’t allow sexual displays in front of children 

The various LGBT groups organizing the historic “Gay Pride Parade” in Florida canceled the parade following the approval of a bill sent by Governor Ron DeSantis that imposes regulations to prevent children from being exposed to sexually explicit scenes at public performances.

The police announced that they would impose a cordon where the march would take place in Port St. Lucie, near Palm Beach, and no one under 21 years of age would be allowed to enter.

Immediately, the Treasure Coast Pride Alliance posted on Facebook Wednesday that the “Pridefest” to take place this Saturday was canceled and that all Pride marches in the coming months were under review.

For some reason, not being able to show sexual content to anyone under 21 led to the organizers preferring not to have the Pride march.

Almost as if it was a fundamental need of the LGBT group.

“We hope everyone understands that this is definitely not what we wanted, and we are working with the city to ensure our safety and produce a positive event,” read the release.

The Florida House of Representatives approved a bill just this Wednesday prohibiting children from being spectators of adult performances involving sexual content.

The proposal was aimed at preventing children from being in the audience of the famously repudiated “drag shows,” where transvestites and trans people dance in skimpy outfits.

The legislation would allow the state to revoke the food and beverage licenses of businesses that admit children to such shows and impose stiff fines on organizations that hold such events.

It also empowers the police to impose cordons to prevent children from being in the vicinity.

The House also approved a bill prohibiting people from entering restrooms regardless of sex assigned at birth.

Thus, the approved legislation will require restrooms in public places to be listed as Male, Female, or, in such cases, Unisex.
