Columbus International delivers ten Chivunk 4×4 vehicles to the Brazilian Army
Columbus International and Arsenal de Guerra de São Paulo (AGSP) recently delivered a pilot series of ten examples of the Chivunk light airborne multipurpose vehicle, primarily for the Brazilian Army’s Paratroopers Brigade.
Among other mission capabilities, the Chivunk was designed to be compact, air-transportable, and deployable by C-130 Hercules and KC-390 Millennium cargo aircraft of the Brazilian Air Force.
Between August 31 and September 1, 2022, two military officers from the Army Technology Center (CTEx), Colonel Claudio Vidal Teixeira and Colonel Luiz Henrique Inácio de Souza, visited the AGSP and accompanied the progress of adaptation, overhaul, and replacement of obsolete or unusable elements in the pilot batch of ten Chivunk units.
This activity is the subject of a contract signed between CTEx and the Columbus company, the first phase of which is being carried out at AGSP.
