Colombia acquires three Navistar 7000MV trucks for its Marine Corps

The Colombian Navy (ARC), through its Marine Infantry, has acquired three new 6×6 7000 MV-GTT type vehicles, manufactured by the company Navistar Defense.

The new trucks will not be for transport, but rather a crane model, a second workshop car and another recovery trailer, which will allow the Mobility Battalion of this force (Bamin No. 1) to act and recover resources in the theater of operations and even in the course of real fire actions, thereby optimizing the tactical resources of this unit.

VIA FMS

THIS process, valued at approximately US$1.3 million, has been financed with resources from the United States Government under the modality of foreign military sales (Foreign Military Sales-FMS).

According to Navistar, one of the most important advantages of these vehicles is the maintenance services and extended warranty, for up to three years or 30,000 kilometers, in addition to the training and training of crews and technical personnel (at no additional cost), which significantly reduces logistics footprint costs.

Currently, Bamin No. 1 deploys a total of 58 7000 MV-GTT, with jungle, desert and peace missions (white) tactical paints, employed within the Combat Logistics Patrol (PLC) scheme, in development of operations of surveillance and control of public order, with the capacity to transport up to five tons of payload.
