Brazil obtained most medals in Odesur Games in Paraguay
Brazil won the most medals so far in the different disciplines of the XII South American Games Asunción 2022, organized by the South American Sports Organization (Odesur) and the Paraguayan Government.
As of October 14, Brazilian athletes had won 276 medals in cycling, equestrian sports, fencing, water skiing, figure skating, table tennis, archery, shooting, triathlon, sailing, skateboarding, aquatics, diving, swimming, open water aquatics, athletics, badminton, basketball, bowling, boxing, canoeing, judo, karate, among other disciplines, according to data on the games’ website.
Of the 276 medals, Brazilian athletes won 121 gold, 87 silver, and 68 bronze.

Colombia is the second country on the podium with 221 medals: 64 gold, 71 silver, and 86 bronze.
The third place in the “medal table” goes to Argentina with 159 medals: 43 gold, 49 silver, and 67 bronze.
Paraguay, the host country of the games, has obtained 34 medals: 6 gold, 16 silver, and 12 bronze.
The games began on October 1 and brought together athletes from 15 countries competing in 34 sports and 53 modalities.
As of October 12, more than 60,000 people had entered Paraguay for the Odesur games, informed the Minister of Sports, Diego Galeano.
