In the top 20 released, there is no Brazilian company.
According to the publication, the list was made by its editorial team, which analyzed 385 airlines under the following criteria:
- Accidents in the last 5 years
- Incidents in the last 2 years
- Audit of official bodies
- Analysis of pilot training
- Covid-19 protocols
The highest place on the list went to the Australian Qantas, which last year appeared in seventh position. The podium is completed by Air New Zealand — leader in 2022 — and Etihad Airways.
“All airlines deal with incidents on a daily basis, many related to planes and engines rather than their operation. How your employees handle these determines whether or not the airline is safe,” said Geoffrey Thomas, editor of the site.
