Brazil’s Taurus partners with university to develop graphene firearms

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Taurus Armas (TASA3;TASA4) last Wednesday signed an agreement with the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS) to research and develop graphene weapons.

The partnership, which involves testing and developing prototype weapons, will be achieved through UCSGRAPHENE, a graphene production plant installed at the university, in TecnoUCS - Science, Technology and Innovation Park.

Professor Diego Piazza, UCSGRAPHENE's coordinator, pointed out that weapons with graphene in their composition are lighter and more resistant.

The material is considered to be the thinnest in the world, with the thickness of an atom. With high transmission and energy saving capabilities . . .
