Argentine political consultant to Brazil’s Electoral Court TSE: “Did you really think we wouldn’t notice?”

The Argentine political consultant spoke at a hearing of the Federal Senate and directly pointed out the irregularities in the election to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) in charge of Alexandre de Moraes.

On Wednesday, the Brazilian Senate held a hearing organized by the Committee on Transparency, Governance, and Oversight to hear speakers affected by the censorship imposed by Brazil’s TSE for questioning the results of Brazil’s recent elections.

Fernando Cerimedo, the Argentine who spearheaded the “Brazil was Stolen” movement with his streaming broadcasts exposing the anomalies in the electoral process, spoke at the event.

The Argentine adviser took direct aim at Moraes, who was responsible for the censorship and the irregularities in the last elections.

“What is the plan, Mr. Moraes? Why are you afraid not to open the books to show how the process went? What is this cowardice that hides behind censorship?” asked Cerimedo at the hearing.

“Is it possible to underestimate science and an entire country or the entire world? Did they really trust that we wouldn’t notice?”

The Argentine had to communicate virtually because his physical integrity was not guaranteed by the Brazilian judiciary, which gave the order to arrest those linked to the questioning of the electoral process.

“The failure to annul elections in which irregularities occurred at all stages means the confirmation of an authoritarian state masquerading as democracy, as is the case in Cuba and North Korea,” he said.

Regarding the electoral process, Cerimedo posed a rhetorical question that perfectly sums up the significance of the anomalies found in the electronic ballot boxes:

“How can the ballot box be a variable in voting decisions in demographically and socially homogeneous cities with an equal distribution of ballot boxes?

The Argentine described anomalies in Bolsonarista votes and uncovered a similar pattern among the other opposition forces.

“Why are blank votes, Tebet votes, Gómez votes, and Bolsonaro votes affected? How many functions does the algorithm have that change the outcome?” he asked.

As for the vulnerability of the electronic voting system, Cerimedo recalled that at an international hacking event, there was a live demonstration of the breaches that the machines’ algorithms can suffer:

“Why didn’t people pay attention to the event that took place in 2018 at the World Hacker Congress, where hackers managed to crack the vulnerability of these machines in just two hours?”

At the end of the conference, those present applauded the Argentine, and some even stood up.

The pressure against the TSE on the streets is expected to continue until there is a resolution from the authority that attempts to explain the irregularities or until President Jair Bolsonaro, who has not yet commented on the issue, speaks out.

There is still time until Dec. 12, when Lula da Silva will be declared the winner by the TSE if nothing changes.

The new government and Congress are then scheduled to take office on Jan. 1.
