AliExpress increases flights to reduce delivery times in Brazil

On a global scale, the company charters 80 flights every week to distribute its products in over 220 countries.
PREPARING FOR THE 11.11 FESTIVAL
Next Thursday, November 11, AliExpress will hold the 11.11 Festival, considered one of the top events in the e-commerce calendar. Selected electronic devices from Xiaomi will be offered at up to 80% discount, for instance.
Considered a kind of “early” Black Friday, the Alibaba group’s marketplace made US$74.1 billion with the date last year.
This year’s novelty is that, for the first time Brazilian sellers – large or small – will be able to offer their products to consumers in all regions of the country. Brazil is the only country in the Americas in which local sellers will be able to participate in the event by promoting their products.
AliExpress Brazil CEO Yan Di explained that the 6th chartered flight is not to be used only during the festival schedule. He said the decision to increase flights between China and Brazil arose due to the Brazilian public’s growing interest.
