Thursday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight is the premier of Copa Underground, a new weekly party that will feature only the best in underground music from all over Brazil and the world. Set in the heart of Copacabana, the party will take place at a brand new location, opening their doors tonight to kick off the beginning of a new weekly dominator.
Resident Mike Frugaletti will be kicking things off and welcoming one of Brazil’s greatest successes in the electronic music scene, DJ Kammy. Dubbed “The Mixmaster Lady from Ipanema,” Kammy is an absolute reference among Brazilian DJs in the international scene. Having lived in Berlin for the past few years, Kammy has been acknowledged by masters Dave Clark, Ben Sims and Santiago Salazar of Los Hermanos as “the real deal.” She has made her mark globally with gigs all over Europe and Brazil and was voted amongst the top female DJs in the world. Her precise mixing and unique sound have earned her the title of “the Lady Machine.” There is no better way to kick off a night of underground music than with a special guest such as her.
