El Miraculoso SambaJazz @ Praia Vermelha (Urca) – This first event of the year for El Miraculoso SambaJazz invites everyone to Urca’s beautiful Praia Vermelha for a free session of their unique blend of Brazilian pop and classic jazz.
El Miraculoso SambaJazz are, on guitar, Jefferson Moreira; on drums, Gabriel Barbosa; on bass, Marcos Luz; and Henrique Vaz on trumpet.
This free event begins at 6PM.

Never Shout Never @ Circo Voador (Lapa) – Ten years down the road and seven albums in the bag, Never Shout Never are making their way to Brazil.
The American band from Missouri will through Rio de Janeiro tonight as part of their nostalgic “Throwback Tour” – an unprecedented show that presents their whole career, celebrating the ten years of compositions that have won a whole generation of fans in the last decade.
Tickets start from R$80 and doors open at 9PM.

Samba Que Elas Querem @ Mansão Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa) – This is a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Santa Teresa. The exciting Mansão Santa Teresa is hosting a live ‘Roda da samba’ (samba circle) featuring none other than Samba Que Elas Querem.
DJ Cyro Novello will be providing some excellent music in the intervals and to keep the party going well into the next week. This beautiful house has a breathtaking view of Guanabara Bay, Sugar Loaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer, with cold beer and even a free swimming pool.
Tickets are between R$10 – R$30 and this party gets going at 3PM.
