Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Mauricio Lopes, one of the most respected DJs of Rio de Janeiro returns with his new edition of the hit party Mau at Fosfobox. This time around promises to bring to light some of the new and upcoming talent as well as proper guests from around Brazil. Take a breath and get ready to move.

Still celebrating 30 years of Circo Voador, the iconic venue presents Plebe Rude, a band who sold over 300,000 copies of their album Manifesto O Concreto Já Rachou, which was considered one of the best debut albums of a Brazilian band.

Local legend Mauricio Lopes is back with Mau, a monthly party featuring the man himself and guests specially selected by Lopes. This first edition kicks off with Ivan LP. He has stood out increasingly as a producer with his project Radio Guidance. He has seen support from Luke Solomon, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Tiefschwarz among others. Rafael Moura joins the team as well as Mauricio launches his 2012 editions of Mau at Fosfobox.
