Wheat, soybeans and corn will achieve positive yields in Brazil’s Santa Catarina

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Wheat has a record production forecast for the 2021/2022 harvest in Santa Catarina, according to the Brazilian Supply Company (CONAB). The planted area has also increased by 66%.

According to CONAB, the favorable weather, best management practices, and public incentives are behind this increase.

The optimistic outlook is also repeated with soybeans, the most widely cultivated grain in the state. The planted area increased by 4.3%, and the harvest should reach 2.6 million tons, 13% more than the previous crop.

Corn production in the state should also increase, reaching 2.9 million tons . . .
