Brazil’s tourism sector to grow 22% this year

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The CNC points out that, between March 2020 and October this year, tourism in Brazil lost approximately US$80 billion.

In 2020 alone, the drop in revenue stood at 36%, with São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, the main hotspots of the pandemic, leading the losses and accounting for 55% of the national decline.

Nevertheless, the Tourism sector has been gradually rebounding since last March, although revenue is still 19.5% below that recorded in February 2020, before the pandemic.
