Brazil: New driver’s license is launched this Wednesday, June 1

The National Traffic Secretary will present the new model during a ceremony in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. The new version does not invalidate the current document, with the driver being able to keep the old model until its validity expires.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The new model of Brazil's National Driver's License (CNH) goes into effect this Wednesday, June 1. The document will continue to be issued by the Detrans (State Traffic Departments).

The National Traffic Secretary, Frederico Moura Carneiro, will present the new model during a ceremony in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul.
