Brazil: Chikungunya cases increased 35-fold from January to April 2022 in Ceará State

The disease is caused by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the same that transmits zika virus and dengue. According to Brazil's Health Ministry, more than 47,000 probable disease cases have already been registered this year, 40% more than in the same period last year.
