Asky Airlines arrives in São Tomé and Príncipe with three weekly flights

Pan-African airline Asky Airlines will link São Tomé, Libreville, and Lomé from October 15 with three flights a week, bringing São Tomé and Príncipe closer to several countries on the continent, an official source told Lusa.

The airline’s managers promoted a workshop to present its services at a hotel in the São Toméan capital, ensuring three flights a week to connect São Tomé and Príncipe to several countries on the African continent, with flights on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

“The capacity will depend on the airplane arriving because we have two aircraft types.

“There is a Boeing plane, in which we have 16 seats for business and 102 seats for the economy class, and another plane with 16 seats for business and 138 in economy,” said Aklesso Siro.

The Asky Airlines sales manager claims that it is the “best airline there is in São Tomé and Príncipe,” offering flights that connect São Tomé to Libreville (Gabon), Lomé and that “spread to other African countries” and other continents.

“Whoever wants to travel to any African country, the Middle East, or Europe, Asky is here to provide that solution,” Aklesso Siro stressed.

The Equatoguinean company Ceiba Internationa assured the connection between São Tomé and Príncipe and the African sub-region countries after the Gabonese carrier Afrijet abandoned the route in March.

Ceiba International has been operating one flight per week between São Tomé, Libreville, and Malabo, in Equatorial Guinea.
