To qualify for the gift card, tourists need to fill out an online form, providing details such as the intended duration of stay in the country, proof of identity, and information about their accommodation.
Once the form has been duly processed, a QR code, which can be used to access the gift card, will be emailed to the beneficiaries.
The ‘Argentine Treasures’ program also allows tourists to accumulate points the longer they extend their stay.
These points can be redeemed for more than 1,500 experiences, ranging from dining and cultural events to adventure sports and aesthetic treatments.
Inprotur is not only keen on attracting conventional tourists but also ‘digital nomads’ – those who can work remotely using digital technologies.
A separate ‘Digital Nomad’ initiative has been introduced to encourage their extended stay in Argentina, offering a US$500 ‘Argentine Treasures’ card to individuals who can demonstrate a stay of more than three weeks in the country.
