Unprecedented Drone Barrage on Kyiv Marks New Phase in Russian Attacks

Russia carried out one of the largest air attacks of the war on June 10, 2025, targeting Kyiv and Odesa with over 315 drones and several missiles, according to official Ukrainian government and military sources.

The strikes killed at least three people and injured more than a dozen, while also damaging a maternity hospital, emergency medical facilities, and residential buildings in Odesa.

Ukrainian authorities confirmed that air raid sirens lasted five hours in Kyiv, with seven out of ten districts hit and multiple fires reported. Officials attributed the scale of the attack to Russia’s response to recent Ukrainian strikes on Russian air bases, which destroyed several Russian bombers.
