For over five years, the event has been going strong and gaining popularity. Held at Gávea’s chic club 00 (Zero Zero) with its indoor/outdoor arrangement, the Bem Brasil Rio Hostel Party is a weekly meeting of locals, tourists and travelers. Many who the weekly party attend are staying at one of Rio’s sixty hostels.
Tonight the entertainment includes a performance from the samba group Bom Batuque and DJs Bruno Lima and Ricardo Martins spinning house and latin rhythms respectively.
Make sure to show up early for the free caipirinhas from 10PM to 12AM and stay late to make new friends and dance the night away as the party continues until Wednesday morning.

Two hours of free caipirinhas, plus live samba and house DJs, equals a great night out for locals and travelers alike. It’s a weekly opportunity to mix and mingle in one of the chicest venues in Rio.

Matriz Live Sessions with De’ La Roque and Turba (Botafogo)
Casa da Matriz, one of the oldest and most well known music venues in Rio, is again presenting live rock’n’roll on Tuesday nights. Tonight the bands, De’ La Roque and Turba will play beginning at 9PM.

Blues Night at Barzin (Ipanema)
Tuesday nights are all about blues at Ipanema’s Barzin. The venue with its sophisticated atmosphere, great service and variety of drinks is the perfect place to relax and soak up the smooth and soulful sounds of the blues.

Jazz Leviano with Folakemi Quinteto (Lapa)
Tuesday nights are all about jazz at Lapa’s Leviano bar and tonight the venue hosts very special guest, English singer Folakemi. She will sing jazz, soul, blues and reggae tonight, accompanied by her quintet.

Camarão de Rama and Fhernanda Fernandes (Centro)
At 7:30PM the group Camarão de Rama gets things started at Centro’s Rio Scenarium. Singer Fhernanda Fernandes will follow at 10:30PM with her reinterpretations of the works of Noel Rosa, Paulo César Pinheiro, Paulinho da Viola, Ataulpho Alves, Ari Barroso, and Martinho da Vial, among others.

Language exchange – Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa)
It’s Portuguese/English language exchange night at the Lapa Irish Pub. Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired up with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for 5 minutes followed by Portuguese for 5 minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner. It’s both fun and educational and the R$10 entrance cost includes free food.

With live music and classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Happy Hour is dose dupla (two for one) on Mondays through Fridays 6PM-8PM. Additionally, tacos are half-price on Tuesdays.
