Consisting of members Posdnuos (Kelvin Mercer), Trugoy The Dove (David Jude Jolicoeur) and Pasemaster Mase (Vincent Mason), the trio is internationally known for thier 1989 debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising.
That album featured the songs “The Magic Number,” “Potholes in My Lawn,” and “Me Myself and I” among others, and is considered one of the most influential ablums in hip hop to date.
The trio have released seven stuido albums to date and collaborated with with Gorillaz on the single “Feel Good Inc,” earning them a Grammy in 2006.
They arrive in Rio tonight with the help of Queremos and to round out what promises to be a not to be missed night, the Wobble and DOOM crew will be on hand and DJs Tucho and Saddam to spin some of the best mixes you could hear anywhere in Rio.

American hip hop trio De La Soul returns to Rio to play at Circo Voador in Lapa. The night will also feature the popular Wobble crew with special guests DOOM and DJs Tucho and Saddam.

Sundae Tracks returns to Casa da Martiz in Botafogo tonight with DJ Melvin spinning on the first floor to help you end your weekend with a treat. Additionally, a special to-be-announced DJ will spin on the second floor of this cozy venue with a familiar feel. There will be a dose dupla (two for one) promotion until 1AM for ten drinks; Cuba Libre, Caipirinha, Caipivodka, Blue Hawaii, Mate-me Por Favor, Kamikase, Yellow Gin, Scaramouche, Hi-Fi, and Tangerina.

Duo (Gávea)
End your weekend with house and electro pop at Duo in Gávea’s 00 (Zero Zero). The party begins at 5PM and continues in the chic indoor/outdoor venue until 5AM. Things usually get started on the outdoor deck with DJs Fabiano Pax and Marcia Bertonni and then gradually shift inside where DJs Mor Rafael Calvente and DJ Dri Toscano usually spin. The weekly event is also known to host special guest DJs.

Roda de Samba, Soccer (Football) and Ballet 2 (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue plays live games on their screens with samba dancers following the matches and the group Ballet 2 playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others.
