The Brazilian Federal Police has received eight Scorpion APC 4×4 armored vehicles, manufactured by the Emirati company Streit Group. As a result of government investments announced in 2019, the purchase of these vehicles takes the Police fleet to a new level in terms of protection, mobility and firepower.

In the video that is circulating on social networks, you can see details of the configuration of these armored vehicles, previously seen during their tests at the Streit Group facilities in the United Arab Emirates. Identified with the Federal Police shield and numbered from PF-1 to PF-8 on the rear ramp and on the crew access doors, the eight cars were painted in low-visibility grey/canhamo tones.

In addition to the transparent armor, the metal plates increase the level of protection, demonstrating that the Federal Police intends to use these armored vehicles in impact interventions, indicating that the COT-DPF must be the subunit responsible for receiving and operating these vehicles.

With 4×4 drive, an intercooled turbodiesel engine and a raised chassis protected by armor, the Scorpion features a design that makes it resistant to ambushes with improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

This vehicle was designed for the rapid response of tactical teams, one of its advantages being its configuration versatility and its great mobility in the field.
