Wednesday is when the São Paulo nightlife circuit reaches full capacity — and tonight the Blue Note SP delivers a confirmed headliner: Bemti, one of the most exciting voices in contemporary Brazilian music. Bemti (born Gabriel Linhares Furtado) is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Minas Gerais whose music fuses MPB, indie pop, and electronic textures into something that sounds both deeply Brazilian and entirely new. His voice — a warm, fluid instrument that moves between falsetto and full chest — has drawn comparisons to Milton Nascimento and Caetano Veloso while remaining entirely his own. Bemti’s live shows are immersive: loops, guitars, keys, vocal harmonies built in real time. Two sessions at 8 pm and 10:30 pm. Tickets via Eventim. At the Casa de Francisca, the Salão — the seated main room, 150 seats, where the curadoria places its centrepiece act — opens for the first time this week at 9:30 pm.
