While the surrounding casarões (Carioca da Gema, Rio Scenarium, Beco do Rato) take their weekly Monday rest, the Nova Capela holds the Lapa daily kitchen. The signature plate is the cabrito assado — slow-roasted with onions and farofa — paired with cold beer. Bolinhos de bacalhau, pastéis, tábua de frios round the menu.
