D-Groov @ Cave (Copacabana) – The Cave Sessions is a tradition in one of Rio’s most beloved nightclubs.
This is where many of the big names in Brazil’s electronic music scene have shown the crowd what they’re made of. And to keep up with tradition, Cave have invited D-Groov, one of the hottest names of the moment to energize the dance-floor until the morning of an extended weekend!
The line-up is as follows: D-Groov (Braslive Entertainment), VIPP Code, BTT, GUILC, Duarte, and DJ Residente. Tickets are between R$30-R$120 and the night gets going from one minute to midnight.

Madrugada @ CCBB (Centro) – This Thursday, the CCBB (Cultural Center of the Banco do Brasil) promotes the fifth edition of the project ‘Madrugada no Centro.’ The event commemorates the 29th anniversary of the CCBB Rio.
This is all in preparation for the launch of Latin America’s biggest exhibition on pioneering New York artist Jean Michel Basquiat. In a more than special edition, ‘Madrugada no Centro – CCBB 29 anos’ will present a night of culture and music from Marcelo D2, Hodari, and Afrojazz, with DJ sets from Negralha and Transpira opening and closing the night.
Tickets are between R$15 – R$30 and the night starts at 10PM.

We Party! @ Fosfobox (Copacabana) – This Thursday is also the fifth edition of the very popular ‘We Party!’ night at Fosfobox Bar and Club.
Thursday is always pop day with ‘We Party!’ So prepare to invade the dancefloor of Copacabana’s well-known Fosfobox club, one of the wildest in the city, for another night of the best warm up music for the weekend. Expect, of course, lots of pop and funk and electronic hits.
Admission is free until midnight if you put your name on the event wall. The line up is as follows: MV, Afonso Feijao, Fernando Castilho, Thais Marins, Rogerio Mussel, and Matheus Gaygher, while Yuri Brito will be capturing the night on camera.
Doors open just a little before 11PM and after midnight tickets are between R$10-R$20.

If you want to hear some great live music while drinking some quality imported beers in a welcoming environment with a friendly crowd, this the place to go.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pub Escondido (Copacabana)
Those into the pub atmosphere will also love Pub Escondido, a discrete venue with premium beer labels, modern design and a really cool vibe. The pub offers 24 different beer taps, which includes the house’s draught beer, Escondido Weiss, made of wheat.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave Ipanema is a great place for good Mexican food, drinks and live sports. It also has English-speaking staff and is a popular expat hangout. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.
