Democratic Wednesday, Day Forró (Lapa)
“Seed of Brazilian Music” features Gerard Jr. and Terreiro Cearense, on stage at the Democraticos. The repertoire is filled with instrumental music, samba, forro, and especially tears, reminding teachers like Luiz Gonzaga, Jackson do Pandeiro, Ermano Morais, Jacob’s Mandolin, Hermeto Pascoal, Trio, Dorival Caymmi, Sivuca, Dominguinhos, among others. The goal is to present classics of Brazilian music and its roots.
