The Fonseca Costa Rica concert is set for Friday 12 March 2027 at Parque Viva in La Guácima, near San José. The producer, ONE Entertainment, confirmed the date for the Colombian singer on Thursday 15 October 2026.

For US readers, Fonseca in Costa Rica is a spring trip to plan early, because tickets and prices have not been announced. Costa Rica needs no visa for US tourists, and the venue is about 18 minutes from the main international airport.

Who Fonseca Is and Why This Show Matters

Fonseca is a Colombian singer-songwriter who blends pop with traditional Colombian rhythms. His song “Te mando flores”, released in 2005, made him famous across Latin America, according to the Honduran daily El Heraldo.

El Heraldo says the song won him his first Latin Grammy, for Best Tropical Song. That same year he gave his first international concert, in Quito, Ecuador.

His new album, “Antes que el tiempo se vaya”, is his eleventh studio album. The tour carries the same name, and Teletica reports that it will visit more than 25 cities.

Public tour dates include Bogotá on Saturday 24 October 2026, which El Mundo reports as sold out. A show at Costa del Sol in El Salvador follows on Sunday 15 November, and RCN adds Medellín on Saturday 6 February 2027.

Fonseca has played Parque Viva before, on Sunday 4 December 2022 during his Viajante Tour, according to La Teja. Teletica says his latest Costa Rica show was on Saturday 16 August 2025, at the Pedregal events centre in Belén de Heredia.

The Fonseca Costa Rica date falls on a Friday, so a US visitor can build a long weekend around it. Parque Viva sits in the province of Alajuela, west of the capital.

Tickets, Prices and Sale Dates

ONE Entertainment confirmed the date on Thursday 15 October 2026, Teletica reports. The producer said it would announce ticket zones, prices and sale dates in the coming days.

None of the Costa Rican outlets we checked has named a ticket seller for the Fonseca Costa Rica concert. Buy only from the seller the producer names, and treat any earlier offer as unofficial.

No price has been announced, so any figure you see today is a guess. Once the producer publishes prices in colones, we will convert them into US$ at the official rate.

For a Grupo Frontera show at Parque Viva earlier in 2026, El Observador reported card presales before the general sale. A similar window is possible for the Fonseca Costa Rica show, but nothing of the kind has been announced.

The Venue and How to Get There

Parque Viva is a large events complex in La Guácima, in the province of Alajuela. Its own website shows four venues, including an open-air amphitheatre that holds up to 18,500 people.

The producer has named only Parque Viva, not a specific stage. Capacity, seating zones and the start time will depend on which one is used.

Parque Viva says the site is about 18 minutes from Juan Santamaría International Airport, the main airport serving San José. It is also about 10 minutes from the national highway that links the capital region with the Central Pacific coast.

The complex has 3,900 parking spaces, and parking can be bought in advance through the site parqueate.cr. It has four separate entrances and a pedestrian drop-off and pick-up point.

Parque Viva says the bus company Zúñiga E Hijos adds units on its regular route when big crowds are expected. TUASA, the Alajuela bus company, runs a signposted special route during major events.

Taxis and ride-hailing apps such as Uber can be registered in advance, and they usually have a special entry. When needed, the venue also sets up satellite parking lots in San José with round-trip private buses.

Inside, Parque Viva lists 10 food trucks, 5 food concessions and 3 drink kiosks. It also lists more than 300 low-water toilet units, and it says the site is designed for visitors with disabilities.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

The US State Department says US citizens need no visa for stays of less than 180 days. You need a passport valid for your whole stay and a return or onward ticket.

The department rates Costa Rica Level 2, exercise increased caution, because of crime, in an advisory dated 2 April 2026. It says petty crime is common throughout the country and violent crime also affects tourists.

After the show, avoid walking alone on poorly lit streets and do not leave valuables in a parked car. Use a pre-booked taxi, a ride-hailing car or a private bus, all options that Parque Viva lists.

The department says tap water is often unsafe to drink and that diseases such as dengue are prevalent. Use insect repellent, especially at an open-air show in the evening.

Hospitals often ask for payment up front, and US health insurance and Medicare are generally not accepted abroad. The department advises US citizens to consider medical evacuation insurance.

The department advises you to carry copies of your ID and immigration papers at all times. Local authorities may ask for your original passport and documents.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet

The producer has not published ticket zones, prices or sale dates for the Fonseca Costa Rica concert. It has also not named the ticket seller.

No start time, doors time or opening act has been announced. The stage inside Parque Viva has not been named either.

Other tour dates remain open too. RCN reports that Chile, Argentina, Honduras and Guatemala are planned without dates, and El Mundo says the same of the US shows.

Until ONE Entertainment publishes the missing details, treat the date and venue as the only confirmed facts. Check the producer’s own channels before you book travel.
