Destination of celebrities on the Brazilian coast, Noronha officially has the best beach in the country, according to a survey carried out by the accommodation reservation platform Booking.com.
After listening to 1,206 travelers across the country during the month of July, the website concluded that Praia da Baía do Sancho (Sancho’s Bay Beach) — previously elected as a favorite by tourists worldwide — takes the top spot in the preference of Brazilians as well.
In general, the study also revealed that quiet beaches that offer services or products are the ones that most enchant visitors from across the country, as pointed out by around 56% of respondents. The most popular and well-known beaches conquer two out of five Brazilians (39%).

The option for each type of destination varies depending on the city of origin of the traveler. This is because those who already live on the coast prefer more popular beaches with commercial options, revealed 45% of those surveyed. Those who live in cities without the sea prefer quieter places (35%).
Deserted beaches are on the route, more frequently, of travelers from the South (11%) and North (8%) regions. Discover the five beaches most loved by Brazilians:
1st: BAÍA DO SANCHO, IN FERNANDO DE NORONHA (PE)

2nd: JERICOACOARA BEACH, JIJOCA DE JERICOACOARA (CE)

3rd: MURO ALTO BEACH, IPOJUCA (PE)
